4 Reasons Why You Should Invest in CoolTone
Did you know it’s possible to strengthen your muscles just by lying there? You’re probably waiting for that “gotcha” moment, but you won’t find that here, because this is all entirely possible at BodySquad with the revolutionary CoolTone device. CoolTone is the latest addition to Allergan’s body contouring profile. You may have heard of CoolSculpting, which is designed to freeze and eliminate unwanted fat. The CoolTone device is FDA-cleared to strengthen and tone areas on your body, including your stomach, butt, and thighs — looking to get toned with no downtime or surgery? CoolTone may be the answer for you, read on to learn 4 reasons why you should invest in CoolTone.
1. Strengthen and Tone Muscle
- The CoolTone device uses Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) to induce involuntary muscle contractions resulting in a more toned and defined appearance. The device penetrates through the fat layer and targets only the muscle.
- The CoolTone device produces supramaximal contractions, meaning that all of the muscle fibers are working at a higher level than one could ever achieve on their own.
- The CoolTone device has also been shown to deliver up to 50% more magnetic intensity (1.35 T versus 0.9 T) than it’s leading competitor, Emsculpt.
- This device is equivalent to doing 20,000 situps or squats in a matter of 30 minutes, which (for pretty much everyone) is humanly impossible. This machine can produce results where human strength simply cannot.
2. It’s 100% Non-invasive
- Another reason why you should invest in this revolutionary device is that it is 100% non-invasive.
- Allergan has successfully developed a non-surgical body contouring treatment for both men and women that can tone the abdomen as well as lift the buttocks without any incisions. No butt’s about it!
- This device is uniquely designed to build, firm, and strengthen muscle while leaving the surrounding tissues unaffected.
3. It’s Pain-Free
- At this point, you might be thinking well this all sounds great, but if your body is replicating 20,000 situps or squats, you must experience some pain. Good news for you, the procedure is entirely pain-free, and we will tell you how.
- Put merely, CoolTone is not painful; it feels like a series of strong muscle contractions. Many patients naturally laugh or smile during the first few minutes, and then the body starts to adapt to the rhythm of the muscle contractions. It is usual for patients to feel a “pulling” sensation that may feel foreign, but it does not hurt.
- A trained BodySquad provider will start the patient off at a low intensity and increase the energy slowly, so the patient feels more comfortable.
- The next day, patients occasionally experience little soreness. However, there will be no feeling of “Help! I can’t get out of bed.”
4. Noticeable Results Right Away
- One of the most significant outcomes of this treatment is that results can be apparent the next day. Patients often feel a distinct difference in the tightness of the muscles treated.
- However, we recommend a minimum of 4-8 sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart, to see the most dramatic results.
- At BodySquad, an individualized Booster Plan will be devised for each patient to sustain results, and if you’re like us, we don’t like wasting time or money. So we’ve made the BodySquad Booster Plan affordable and convenient for everyone.

Let’s Talk About Cellulite
If you’re like 90% of women out there, you’ve probably had, have, or will have cellulite in your life. The fact of the matter is that cellulite exists, and no matter how fit or slender you are, it will still appear. As common as cellulite is, many people still do not know much about it, read on to learn more about cellulite, what causes it, and ways to prevent and get rid of it.
What is Cellulite?
- Cellulite, which typically appears in the butt and thigh area, has a dimpled, lumpy appearance (think of the texture of an orange peel).
- Cellulite is normal fat beneath your skin; it acquires that lumpy appearance because it pushes against connective tissue, making the skin above pucker. That is why no matter how slender you are, anyone can have it.
- Women typically get cellulite over men, and this is because of two things. First off, women have less supportive connective tissue to keep it all in place. Second, they tend to have more fat around the thigh and hip area of the body.
- 90% of women get cellulite, compared to 10% of men (aren’t we the lucky ones?)
What Causes Cellulite?
- It is a common myth that toxins in the body cause cellulite, but this is not true. As stated above, cellulite occurs when underlying fat gets pushed against connective tissue.
- Connective tissue (or collagen fibers) typically weaken due to lack of exercise and muscle tone, excess fat build-up, hormones, as well as poor circulation.
- Many studies have concluded that genetics play a role in the development of cellulite. Genetic testing is available to confirm if you have the identified gene variant responsible for cellulite development. However, if other women in your family have cellulite, you will likely develop it as well.
How to Prevent Cellulite?
- As women age, the body doesn’t produce as much estrogen, which is a vital hormone in the female body that aids in the movement of blood vessels flowing smoothly.
- When the body lacks estrogen, this can translate to poor circulation as well as a decrease in new collagen, and the breakdown of older connective tissue.
- There are many approaches you can take to decrease the likeliness of developing cellulite.
- Exercise – by staying active and exercising, you will reduce fat and boost muscle tone in the body.
- Diet – eat a healthy, well-balanced diet; try to avoid foods that are high in fat and refined sugars, as well as processed foods.
- Stop Smoking (if you do) – research shows smoking cigarettes harms the formation of collagen, the main component of connective tissue, causing the development of cellulite.
How Can I Get Rid of Cellulite
- Cellulite commonly appears on:
- Hips
- Thighs
- Stomach
- Butt
- Breasts
- While cellulite is not harmful, many people do not like the look of it on their bodies and will do anything to get rid of it.
- A great tool to help combat cellulite is with the help of ThermiSmooth.
- ThermiSmooth is a revolutionary technology that can revitalize and smooth sagging skin and cellulite without surgery, pain, or downtime, giving you back the confidence you once knew.

Tip for Staying Healthy During Quarantine
Due to COVID-19, many of us are spending much more time at home trying to find new ways to adjust to this new life. It can be hard to adapt to this new lifestyle of unfamiliar territory, especially when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle. Read on for tips on how to lead a healthy lifestyle during a pandemic.
- Get Enough Sleep
- While leading a healthy lifestyle, getting enough sleep can be just as crucial as your diet and exercise. Lack of sleep can be very detrimental to our overall health, so try and get at least 7 hours of sleep each night.
- Research shows that missing as little as an hour and a half of sleep can have an impact on your alertness. So don’t try and get by with 5 hours of sleep because you will be sure to pay for it the next day.
- When you sleep, your body rests, and your brain remains active and gets recharged, preparing for the following day. With a lack of sleep, your brain will have a hard time absorbing and recalling new information, so make sure to get sleep to keep that mind sharp!
- Along with exercise and nutrition, getting quality sleep is one of the pillars of health. Getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep will help improve your immune function as well. You cannot achieve optimal health without adequate sleep.
- Stay Hydrated
- Our bodies depend on water to survive. Water accounts for about 60% of our bodies, and it’s recommended to drink eight, 8-ounce glasses of water per day. So it is crucial to stay hydrated, especially now during a time when there is a virus going around.
- Drinking fluids helps maintain the function of every system in our body, such as the heart, brain, and muscles.
- Bring your reusable water bottle everywhere you go (considering there are not many places to venture to, this shouldn’t be too hard)! By doing this, you will be sure to stay hydrated and know how much water you’re consuming.
- Get Active
- It is essential to make sure you are staying active to warrant a healthy mind and body. Whether you go for a walk around the block, turn up the tunes and dance around, or do an online virtual class, there are many options to get active.
- Yes, we know it is probably super tempting and a lot easier to binge your favorite series on the couch; however, this routine will negatively affect your health and well-being.
- Be patient with yourself, there are days where it can be hard to motivate ourselves, but a little exercise is far better than no exercise at all. We are living in a challenging time, and any physical activity is a step in the right direction.
- Below is a list of exercise classes and resources you can utilize to stay more active:
- Slash Fitness

- Eat a Balanced Diet
- Eating healthy can be hard when you don’t have time to cook; however, with all this extra time on (most) of our hands, there’s more time to focus on what we’re putting in our body.
- It can be tempting to reach for your favorite salty snack because of boredom, and a few chips or pretzels are okay, but many people may have a hard time putting the bag down once it’s open. Too many of these processed foods can have a detrimental effect on our bodies.
- Processed foods such as baked goods or frozen pizza contain a lot of simple carbohydrates that create a yo-yo effect on our blood sugar. Because these foods digest quickly, it can cause you to overeat.
- Below are tips to help you eat a balanced diet:
- Make a daily meal plan
- Utilize food apps to stay connected
- Plan your grocery runs
- Load up on fruits, veggies, healthy fats, and proteins
- Plan and enjoy an occasional comfort food

4 Tips To Put Some Pep Back In Your Step During Quarantine
Having a hard time staying motivated?
It can be easy to fall into a slump and become unmotivated, especially now, when you are confined to your house all day. Many of us are trying to make the best of this temporary new way of life, but it can be challenging to continue to stay motivated. The world has presented us with new challenges, but we’re all in this together. We’re here to help you with some suggestions on how you can put that pep back in your step!

-
- During a time when there is so much uncertainty, it is so important to keep up with a schedule and routine to help you feel more in control and at ease.
- Don’t let yourself fall into a pattern of sleeping in and staying up late. Stick to your morning routine – set your alarm for your usual time, shower, eat, and get dressed as if you were going out (you can dress down but make sure to get out of your pajamas).
- Make sure you have a productive working space in your home. This space should mentally prepare you for work mode, whether it’s a seperate room, a desk set up in your living room, or a laptop at the end of the kitchen table. Try to make sure this space is seperate from where you would go to relax like your bedroom or couch.
- Set your goals for the day, write them down, and put them into action! By writing down your goals, you are 42% more likely to achieve them.
- Try and “normalize” your everyday routine as much as possible this will help you be as productive as possible!
2. Connect Digitally
-
- Not being able to hang out with friends and family has been hard for most of us and can get lonely at times. Many people have developed new ways of staying connected, even while complying with public health guidelines.
- Zoom is a video communications app that allows you to connect with others virtually! Whether you’re looking to join a live workout class or meet up with friends for a virtual happy hour, Zoom is there to help you stay in touch while social distancing.
- If you’re looking for an easy and quick way to connect with others, FaceTime is a great option that can be done right from your phone. One of the great things about this option is that it supports up to 32 users at once (talk about a social distancing party).
- It’s essential to stay connected socially, as this is one of the most important drivers of one’s well-being, especially now when we cannot see one another face to face.
3. Check-In With Yourself
-
- There is so much going on all around us, and it can be a lot to take in. It is essential to take a step back and check-in with yourself.
-
- We came up with a checklist to help you make sure you are practicing self-care. Below is a list of daily questions to ask yourself:
- What emotions are you experiencing today?
- How will you put yourself first today?
- How are you moving your body today?
- Who are you connecting with virtually today?
- What are you grateful for today?
- How are you bettering yourself today?
- Self-care is self-love, set aside as little as 15 minutes every day to answer and reflect on these questions.

4. Join an Exercise Challenge
-
- It can be hard to motivate yourself to exercise when you’re stuck inside 24/7, but just because you don’t have fancy gym equipment doesn’t mean you can’t find ways to push yourself at home.

- Reorganize Your Garden

- Pulling weeds is no fun, but this will give you some exercise while also cleaning up the garden, just in time for summer!

What Happens to Your Muscles If You Don’t Continue Strengthening Them?
Strengthen Your Muscles, or You’ll Lose Them…
The CoolTone device is designed to bring your healthy lifestyle to the next level. It can be hard and time-consuming to get to the gym every day while also managing your day-to-day activities. CoolTone is a revolutionary new technology that can increase muscle mass. This means you will look toned, feel stronger, and look slimmer with less effort than ever before. Results are obtained through your initial 4-6 treatments within two weeks. To maintain the results achieved from CoolTone, it is crucial patients come in for ‘maintenance’ treatments.
Many people do not realize that when you stop using (or sculpting) your muscles, you will very quickly lose strength. The longer you wait, the harder it is to get back to those strong, lean looking muscles. According to experts, it varies depending on your age and fitness level, but it may be quicker than you think.
Your muscles will not disappear entirely, but there will be a noticeable decrease in strength power. The decrease will not be a lot at first, but the longer you wait, the more strength you will lose. Muscle mass (the size of your muscles) begins to diminish after about four-six weeks of inactivity. This is why it is essential to follow up with your BodySquad specialist after 30 days and map out a ‘maintenance plan’ so you do not lose those newly toned muscles!

Where Does Fat Go After CoolSculpting?
Fat Cells Don’t Stand a Chance Against CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting, if you are not familiar, is a non-invasive treatment designed to remove areas of stubborn fat on the body permanently. During a CoolSculpting procedure, fatty tissue is suctioned into an applicator that cools the fat cells. The cold temperatures numb the area being treated and freeze the cells for good. This all sounds great, but many people wonder where the fat cells go after they’re frozen. Keep on reading to find out more!
Where Does the Fat Go After a CoolSculpting Treatment?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions we get from patients. CoolSculpting involves no medications, needles, or cannulas, apposed to other fat removal procedures, such as Liposuction. However, one of the similarities CoolSculpting and Liposuction have in common is that the fat leaves the body for good. Because there is no incision and the whole process of CoolSculpting is done outside of the body, many individuals wonder where the fat goes.
CoolSculpting uses a freezing process called Cryoliplysis (freezing fat), which targets and kills the treated fat cells. The process of CoolSculpting targets fat without harming or freezing any of the surrounding tissue. Once the cells have died, they are processed and removed through your lymphatic system. This happens over 3-4 months, so your body is not overwhelmed with dead fat cells.
Will the Fat Come Back?
It’s important to note that the fat cells cannot return after CoolSculpting. We are born with a finite number of fat cells. The total number of fat cells in the body remains the same from birth until adulthood. When we lose weight, the fat cells shrink, and when we gain weight, the fat cells expand; however, they do not multiply. CoolSculpting will eliminate a portion of fat cells within a targetted area, and the fat cells are permanently reduced.
