3. Spring Cleaning

-
- With all the extra time on our hands, why not get a jump start on spring cleaning.
- Clean Out Your Closet:
- Spring and summer are approaching which means warmer weather, so it’s time to update your closet. Put away cold-weather clothing and free up space in your closet by donating worn out or out of style clothes.
- Reorganize Your Garden
- Spring is a great time to get your garden ready. Seeds grow quickly during spring, so get out there and start planting trees and flowers.
- Pulling weeds is no fun, but this will give you some exercise while also cleaning up the garden, just in time for summer!
- Clean, Clean, Clean
- With the Coronavirus going around, it is essential to clean and disinfect your home.
- Researchers have found that this virus can live on plastic and stainless steel for up to three days. Disinfecting the house is something we should all be doing.
- Take an hour every day to disinfect your home. This will help lower your risk of infection and anyone else in your household.

- With extra time in many of our daily schedules, now is the best time to pick up a new hobby!
- Explore Your Creative Side
- There are endless amounts of crafts you can do while at home during this time such as knitting, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and/or drawing.
- Pinterest is a great website to find more DIY crafts to keep yourself busy and relieve some stress during this time of uncertainty.
- Learn a New Langage
- Have you ever wanted to learn a new language but could never find the time? Well, with lots more time on your hand, you can now!
- There are many apps out there that can help you get a jump start on this. Our personal favorite is Duolingo and you can take advantage of this free program from the computer or by downloading their app. The app’s colorful interface and game-like exercises help motivate you and make the experience more fun!
- Do a Puzzle
- Puzzles and games are the best way to keep you entertained, and the most difficult ones will keep you occupied for days.
- It is vital to keep your brain stimulated during a time where there is not much to do, puzzles are great for this and can be done by yourself (if you’re in quarantine alone).
- Puzzles have been said to decrease feelings of anxiety and increase mental well-being. Staying calm and easing stress is essential for our mental health right now when so much feels so wrong. With a few hours (or days) and a little determination, anyone can piece together a beautiful landscape.
