EmSculpt® IS NOT A TRANSCUTANEOUS ELECTRICAL NERVE STIMULATION (TENS) UNIT.
A TENS Unit sends electronic stimulation through the skin. To impact the muscles, the device would have to be set to an uncomfortably high level which would make the skin feel like it’s being burned. This is why these devices have never been successful in true muscle stimulation and growth — they are better suited for treating pain.
In contrast, the EmSculpt® technology bypasses the skin entirely and focuses only on the muscles. This is why we can achieve “superhero contractions” while in a comfortable state.

Our proprietary treatment plans are the most important piece to our secret. At your initial assessment, a Certified BodySquad Specialist will take the time to develop a customized treatment plan that will lead to long-lasting changes in your body shape. We want you to be comfortable and confident in your transformation and we will help you get there.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR EMSCULPT TREATMENT
At your EmSculpt® treatment session, your Certified BodySquad Specialist will place the EmSculpt® paddles on your targeted muscles while you recline comfortably and catch up on your Netflix show. We will begin with the power setting on low and gradually increase it throughout the session. This is when you will begin to feel the muscle contractions. We ensure you will be comfortable throughout the procedure. You can expect to resume your normal routine as soon as you finish your 30-minute session. In the days after your EmSculpt® session, you may experience minimal soreness, similar to the feeling you get after a good workout. Your results should be visible in as few as 2-4 weeks. What is the difference between the CoolTone and the Emsculpt treatment?
Although these two treatments do have some similarities the main difference is the type of technology used. The EmSculpt treatment uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy whereas CoolTone uses Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS). Both treatments involve muscle contractions and can help with fat reduction and muscle toning. How long does the EmSculpt treatment last?
You will have a 30-minute session where we do the EmSculpt procedure. This is a non-invasive treatment and our clients have mentioned a slight discomfort at first because the body isn’t used to supramaximal muscle contractions but after a few minutes, they are ready to sit back and relax!
Are there any post-treatment side effects to EmSculpt?
As of now, there are no known side effects. Treatments that are similar and typically involve muscle contractions can experience redness, soreness in the muscles of the treatment area, cramping, or muscle spasms. We can answer any more questions during your free BodySquad assessment!
How do you Determine Ideal Candidates?
EmSculpt is great for women and men who are already in fairly good shape but need a little extra help muscle toning. This treatment plan is not a weight loss solution.
